The IT organization within a global transportation logistics company needed to run multiple parallel projects to improve ERP reporting and end-user experience. The projects were mission-critical, involved multiple business and IT functions across several different geographies (including international teams) and had high visibility to organizational leadership as part of the “A” project portfolio for the year.
Pepper Foster was engaged to project manage the projects and ensure project success. Comprehensive project and team management techniques were used to manage and monitor the projects including regular project team stand-ups and thorough status reporting. Project schedules and plans were developed to support aggressive timeline goals from the C-suite and people and change management and leadership techniques were employed to ensure the team worked well together.
All projects went live on-time, successfully meeting end-user requirements including a smoother end-user experience, shorter book-close times and newly released reporting standards.
