It’s only a good idea if…

A quick and simple method of identifying good ideas

By Pepper Foster

An old mentor of mine once told me that if I wanted to be considered a business genius I should always say a new idea is a bad idea because I’d be right 90% of the time. To really get ahead though, you need to be good at identifying and greenlighting the ideas that will make a difference. So how do you do that? How do you determine which ideas are actually good ideas? One quick and easy way is to ask three questions. Will this idea benefit people or companies? Are people ready for this idea? And can it be done? Ideas that are beneficial, timely, and feasible are good ideas. Everything else should be put on the back burner until you can answer yes to all three questions.
