The client had seen the number of initiatives significantly increase over the last 3 years and needed a tool and methodology to align leadership around project prioritization and resource utilization. Pepper Foster worked with stakeholders to understand the priorities and constraints and rapidly developed and deployed a resource management tool and process.

Business Outcomes

With the delivery of a Resource Management tool, our client was able to:

  • Assign resources to and manage utilization across multiple projects over multiple years
  • Gain visibility on actual expenditures for billable and non-billable hours
  • Gain access to critical data by individual, team and project

Challenges – Problem Statement

The client had two distinct challenges to solve:

  • Leadership Alignment: The number of projects had significantly increased in the past 3-years and a new methodology was needed to track of resource availability
  • Budget Constraints: The client had very limited resources to develop or invest in a robust tool

Our goals:

  • Identify and understand requirements, priorities, and constraints
  • Iteratively build a resource capacity tool and process within their budget

Solution Approach

Pepper Foster consultants collaborated with the client’s leadership team and key stakeholders to overcome their challenges and deliver a solution that met their requirements.
