DAMIAN SMITH is the founder and managing partner of Pepper Foster Consulting. Over the last 25 years, Damian has launched, turned around, and led a host of highly successful product and services businesses, and consulted with some of the largest and most influential organizations around the globe. His proudest professional achievement though is leading two different firms (Hitachi Consulting and Slalom Consulting) to be recognized as the best company to work for in Oregon, while simultaneously increasing the revenues and profits of both. It’s a feat he plans to repeat with Pepper Foster Consulting. When Damian isn’t making a difference with Pepper Foster Consulting, you can find him writing fiction (his first novel Tuesday’s Child was published in 2016); watching Project Runway with his amazing and wonderful daughter Avery; cheering on the Portland Timbers at Providence Park (RCTID); or running (very slowly) from Hood to Coast.
VAINATEYA "DESH" DESHPANDE is an accomplished strategy and project delivery professional with a proven track record of developing and implementing key business strategies. His career highlights include leading the implementation of the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) launched by US Treasury under President Obama and developing Nike’s Global Renewable Energy program that resulted in $150M in renewable energy deals. With prior experience in financial services, real estate, manufacturing, information technology, renewable energy, sustainability, apparel and footwear sectors, he brings a diverse skillset that helps his clients translate concepts to business value. His prior work has required extensive C-Suite interaction at Fortune 100 companies. He has a reputation for high-quality delivery, being fun in the workplace, and remaining cool & fact-focused under pressure. JERRIS MARR is a senior leader with 25 years of experience envisioning and driving change within operational and service organizations. DONNA DRAPER is an engaging and energetic professional who develops and executes innovative talent and sales strategies with a can-do attitude, lively sense of humor and the highest levels of quality, integrity, and kindness. She has over 15 years of experience in sales, account management, and recruitment of IT, software, management consulting, finance, sales and marketing talent, and has been instrumental in building key business functions and talent in startup organizations. Her deep knowledge and experience in sales, recruiting and talent acquisition strategies and methodologies across numerous industries, along with strong communications skills, gives her the ability to speak with individuals at all levels from individual contributors to C level executives. When not scouting for rock star consulting talent, Donna enjoys exploring the Northwest experience both indoors and out, particularly on lesser known trails, as well as reading, traveling, music and spending time with friends and family.
WILL ZAMER is a hands-on project manager & information technology leader driven by core values of integrity, service, and respect for others. He has a reputation for high-quality delivery, being fun in the workplace, and remaining cool & fact-focused under pressure. Will has over 25 years of experience leading a wide range of projects and teams including custom software development, enterprise software package implementations, and infrastructure improvements. His background includes a diverse set of industries: eCommerce, eLearning, Apparel and Footwear, Financial Services, Healthcare, Insurance, Energy, Retail, Property Management, Legal, and Software-as-a-Service. With both business and computer science degrees, he loves projects that involve both business & technology challenges. Will enjoys traveling for scuba diving and diverse cultural experiences, such as a Hare Krishna ceremony in India or staying with a family in Soweto, South Africa. He has lived in South America and worked at a ski resort during the Utah Winter Olympics. Ask him about his Jack Russell Terrier from Poland.
RUTH NARODE is an associate consultant with a background in project management, data analysis, research, and health care. She recently graduated from Stanford with an MS in Community Health and Prevention Research. While at Stanford, she conducted and analyzed the effectiveness of various programs at the Stanford Cancer Center. In addition, Ruth was also a 4-time captain of the Stanford Women’s Rowing Team. Outside of work, Ruth enjoys heated yoga, weightlifting, and spending time in the great outdoors.
SANDRA WINTTERER is a bi-lingual (German and English) associate consultant with experience leading and driving initiatives and events within and for multi-national manufacturing corporations and healthcare non-profits. Sandra has studied and worked in both the US and Germany and is a smart, self-motivated, and passionate professional who makes a difference for her clients. She has a track record of success thanks to a highly organized work approach, great communication, and team spirit. When Sandra isn’t working, she enjoys exploring the world, through travel or a good book; taking care of her furry friends; or cooking to loud music.
JAKE LOVELL is an associate consultant with experience analyzing, facilitating, documenting, and communicating new processes, systems, opportunities, data, and concepts. Jake has helped launch new software products, develop and launch new websites and collaboration systems, manage and edit journals, and chair councils and meetings. He enthusiastically dives into all phases of a project, from the detailed dirty work to developing and delivering creative solutions and presentations. CHRIS GLENNON is a highly respected senior consultant in the fields of IT Service Management (ITSM), process design, management, and technology with over 25 years of experience across multiple industries including financial services, technology, utilities, transportation, education, government, nonprofit, and supply chain. His exceptional track record of business and technical process improvement is based on his philosophy that people and process are what make IT work, not technology. Chris enjoys riding motorcycles and bicycles, travel, cooking, and winter sports. He also co-chairs the Kearney Plaza Emergency Preparedness Committee (E-Prep) to make the Kearney Plaza community safer, more prepared, and more resilient.
